The Concise Manual of Marriage

A short yet concise manual on the legal rulings of marriage authored by one of the beacons of light in his time, Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah), with comments from some of the scholars, past and present.

The Shaykh explains the linguistic, technical and religious meaning of marriage and clarifies its purpose:

"The conclusion of a contract betwen a man and a woman, with each of the two desiring to enjoy and take pleasure in one another, to establish a righteous family and a safe and sound society."

The Wisdom of Marriage includes:

Preservation and protection of both mates

Protection of the society from evil and the degredation of [good] character

The fulfilment of pleasure of one mate with the other concerning what is mandated of rights and sexual intercourse

Perfection of relaitons between familes and tribes
